With our medium-term vision, LiB Consulting aims to become the number-one management consulting firm in Asia. Originating in Japan, we are expanding to Thailand, our center of expansion in Southeast Asia. We have more opportunities to contribute to impact companies as we expand our business. Similar to Apple’s impact after 2007, the concept of the “innovative company” was highly regarded and emulated. Gaining real-world consulting experience and skills through hands-on client projects

Getting an internship at LiB Consulting gave me the opportunity to really learn and work as a management consultant. In contrast to my prior internships, this one was more concerned with the benefits for the interns. The career path and goals of this internship were discussed, and then I was assigned tasks that fit the goals of my internship. There was a one-on-one trainer who gave feedback and mentored me along the way. This has allowed me to develop the skillset required for being a professional consultant as well as gain experience as if I were working as a consultant since I was joining an actual consulting project as a team member and had a chance to meet with actual clients, in which each of the given tasks is challenging in order, from creating an actual document for presenting to clients to presenting a part in a sales proposal to a client’s executives. Most importantly, my internship at LiB Consulting enabled me to acquire a formal employment offer to work there full-time as a consultant as soon as I graduated, which accelerated my career.

During the internship (3 days) at the Tokyo headquarters, I worked on a management simulation game and real-life cases of LiB Consulting. This allowed me to interact not only with fellow internship participants but also with full-time employees at the forefront of the company’s operations. What I discovered was that many of the companies supported by LiB Consulting shared a common goal of making the world a better place.
On the other hand, during my 18-day internship at the Thailand branch, I was able to gain hands-on experience in actual project work across various industries, from agriculture to automotive parts manufacturing. Additionally, I worked on a range of consulting topics, from marketing and sales to cost reduction initiatives. LiB Consulting also provided a personal coach who offered feedback and guidance throughout my work experience, which I found to be a unique opportunity not offered by other consulting firms. Through my work with LiB Consulting, I was able to see that I can accomplish my professional goals and develop my skills.
My impression of LiB Consulting is that it is a company that makes a positive impact on the world by rapidly growing medium-sized and venture companies, and that its employees are given many opportunities to grow and take on challenges. Having the opportunity to intern at LiB Consulting was one of the best decisions I made during my studies.
